After an hour of rain delay, racing continued at Riverside International Speedway for the first race of the season for the NAPA Sportsman Series.
After a 5 caution, 50 lap race that lasted approximately 50 minutes, Ross Lewis, Sydney, who led all laps from lap 3 to 50 took home the checkered flag.  Phil Barkhouse Jr, JJ Cusack, Harry Ross White and Corey Breen rounded out the top 5.  Breen was the only driver from Antigonish in the top 10.  His brother, rookie Jeffrey Breen raced his first race on Saturday night finishing 26th, another Antigonish rookie, Daniel DeLorey, driving the 9 car finished 20th. fastest lap of the race was held by Lewis at 16.044.  Phil Barkhouse Jr.,Halifax,  had the pole for the Highland Home Building 50.   The heats were won by Phil Barkhouse Jr., Brad DeCoste and Ross Lewis.  Brad Decoste, Antigonish won his heat by 1/100th of a second beating Harry Ross White, a very close margin.  The points are now lead by Ross Lewis, 217, followed by Phil Barkhouse Jr 210, JJ Cusack 204, Corey Bren 195 and Vance MacDonald 195.    The next race on the NAPA Sportsman Series is back at Riverside International Speedway on Friday, July 19th, for the Highland Home Building 100 to kick off the IWK Race Weekend…
